ZELE
Zele has more to offer than you think. The beautiful green borders follow the rivers Schelde and Durme. The captivating architecture in the center and the many monuments will make for a walk full of discoveries.
Zele is located in the flat area of the “Northern Flemish sand-region” Two rivers form a natural boundary: the Schelde in the south and the Durme in the north-east. The tidal reaches of the river make the landscape into something unique, thanks to the mud flats and marshes.
Within our own city limits there are peaceful hiking routes that run through fields of green. Not only on foot but also by bike you can follow different routes that are well indicated and provide for hours of exploring.
